Hydrostatic & pneumatic testing is essential for systems that operate under pressure, as these systems typically require validation prior to operational start-up.
Hydrostatic testing involves pressurizing a piece of hardware with deionized water (DI H2O) and measuring the pressure by attaching a calibrated gauge between the pump and the hardware.
Comparatively, pneumatic or pneumostatic testing employs the same methodology as hydrostatic testing, but utilizes an inert gas to pressurize the hardware.
Astro Pak can hydrostatic pressure test up to 30,000 psi, and pneumatic pressure test up to 32,000 psi. We test using NIST referenced calibration and certification to ASTM standards.
