In the wake of an EF-3 tornado that knocked out power to a major biopharmaceutical manufacturing site in North Carolina, the Astro Pak team was called upon to restore the critical Water for Injection (WFI) system. This facility, responsible for producing nearly 25% of the company’s sterile, injectable medicines used in US hospitals, faced potential long-term disruption to the nation’s medical supply chain. Our rapid response team, assembled from multiple states, worked around the clock for 10 consecutive days to bioclean and derouge the system. Despite the complexity and scale of the project, we completed the job two days ahead of schedule, enabling the biopharmaceutical company to resume operations sooner than anticipated. The client expressed their gratitude, stating, “Your company is allowing us to bring the site back up so that we can continue to bring our medications to our patients.”
