Following up on its recent acquisition of Chemko Technical Services, Astro Pak has announced the appointment of Jonathan Hopkins to the role of General Manager of Chemko. Mr. Hopkins will be overseeing the ongoing operations at the Mims, Florida facility as well as the transition to the new facility located in Titusville, near the Kennedy Space Center. “I look forward to combining the unique strengths of Chemko with Astro Pak’s position as the world leader in precision cleaning,” he says, continuing, “The result will be a leading edge contract cleaning facility that delivers an unparalleled level of service and quality.”
Mr. Hopkins is a native of South Carolina and was most recently a Division Manager for Carolina Filters, Inc., a company that specializes in precision cleaning of metal filtration media in addition to off-site contract air quality management. His work there is part of his more than seven years in the precision cleaning sector and 15 years of professional industrial management experience that he brings to Astro Pak.
In addition, Mr. Hopkins’s professional affiliations include membership in the National Association of Surface Finishers, the Transportation and Logistic Council and numerous local and regional professional associations. He also holds a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

Mr. Hopkins attended Furman University in Greenville, SC. He is also veteran of the United States Navy, serving in both the Surface Warfare and Mine Countermeasures communities with deployments to both the Persian Gulf and Mediterranean regions. He and his children reside in Titusville, FL.
