COSTA MESA, CA – May 10, 2011 – Astro Pak Corporation today announced that it has received ISO Certification 9001:2008 and AS 9100B:2004 Quality Management certification for its Precision Cleaning Facility (PCF) located in Downey, CA. ISO Certification 9001:2008 is a globally recognized quality management standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). AS 9100, which builds upon ISO 9001:2008, is a globally recognized aerospace industry standard that defines the quality system requirements for suppliers to the industry.
The ISO 9001:2008 certification is a significant achievement for a business. It clarifies the existing requirements of ISO 9001:2000 based on eight years of implementation experience worldwide. Re-certification reflects Astro Pak’s solid foundation of continuous improvement of ongoing operations through the implementation of effective quality management principles.
