Astro Pak is pleased to announce that Bradley Hostetler has recently joined the company as its metallurgist. In announcing his joining of Astro Pak, Mr. Hostetler said, “I am really looking forward to assisting the company and our customers in all metallurgical and corrosion engineering topics as we continue to be a leader in the passivation industry.
Mr. Hostetler has previously worked as a design and process engineer. He has earned a Bachelors of Science in Materials Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and a Masters in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He has, in his words, “worked with everything from nickel to titanium powder to stainless steel.”
Mr. Hostetler has become an integral part of the Technical Services team led by Michael Johnson. Technical Services supports both the cleanroom and field services divisions of Astro Pak by offering consulting and guidance where needed as well as looking forward to ensuring that the company’s technology is keeping up with new developments and the future needs of its clientele. Among those emerging industry trends is the need to clean additive manufactured (3D printed) parts with validated chemistries and processes.
When asked how he was drawn to Astro Pak, Mr. Hostetler said, “…because I wanted to work on a smaller team that is technically challenging, full of autonomy, and promotes working closely with team members from all levels of the company. Astro Pak has been the perfect fit.” He added that he looks forward to answering the metallurgical challenges brought to him by his fellow teammates as well as Astro Pak’s clients from around the country.
