Astro Pak headquarters in Costa Mesa, California earned a top position in the 2018 Best Places to Work in the Orange County list. The annual county-wide program is conducted by the Orange County Business Journal, the regional business news outlet.
The competition is a two-part process that includes looking at business organizations’ workplace policies, demographics and practices followed by an anonymous survey of its employees. The award contest is designed “to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Orange County” according to its official statement. It ranks for-profits, non-profits and government entities along with privately and publicly held companies. The only limitations are that the organization have 15 or more employees and been open for longer than a year.
The survey portion is an in-depth examination of employee engagement and satisfaction where respondents rank various aspects on a five-point scale. A pair of open-ended questions allow the employees to offer more insight into aspects of their company. While the company policies section accounts for 25% of the business’ score, the employee survey portion provides the 75%. The data is then analyzed and ranked with the top winners being selected in a number of categories based on size. The winners will be announced in a special segment of the Orange County Business Journal’s issue in late July.
Astro Pak considers inclusion in this award to be a great honor and believes that it is due to the great people who are dedicated to ensuring the excellence of the service provided to our clients. The passion for going above and beyond is at all levels, from the crew members who work to exceed our clients’ expectations to leadership that values employees as part of an extended family and supporting a number of non-profits. The commitment to industry leadership, whether sharing knowledge on industry standards committees or becoming the preferred service provider for overseas projects reflects the company’s rich culture of respect, loyalty, continued learning along with personal and professional fulfillment that endures as we continue to grow while sticking close to our roots.
Once again, Astro Pak congratulates its Orange County team on this esteemed milestone and achievement.
